About Us Founded in 2009 by a team of industry veterans, VComp has quickly established a presence as a trusted resource for organizations looking to solve their most complex systems integration needs. Our three founders bring over 60 years of combined systems integration experience to the organization, and have held executive, senior management and ownership roles with their previous employers. The founders have assembled an enthusiastic group of employees with deep experience in nearly all of the disciplines present within the modern information technology industry.
Mark Schaub – Managing Director Mark Schaub began his career in the Information Technology industry 27 years ago, and he has consistently guided small technology firms to viable market presence in a variety of industries. Prior to his association with VComp, Mark served as managing director and founder of Bryn Mawr Partners, a technology consulting firm specializing in the healthcare and life sciences regulatory compliance market arenas. Among his clients was Prompte, LLC, a healthcare software firm specializing in pre-operative patient evaluation. In his role as Chief Executive Officer, Mark brought the company’s products to market and later arranged for the sale of the firm to DocuSys. That effort was preceded by his efforts as co-founder and chief executive officer of NetRegulus (now a unit of Parametric Technology Corporation), a provider of regulated data management systems. His efforts there positioned NetRegulus as the leading provider of enterprise quality management solutions for the medical device industry. Prior to those efforts, Mark co-founded Faber Consulting, a data warehousing consulting firm that was later acquired by Headstrong, and two other technology firms, including a large systems integration company and a firm that specialized in the deployment of large, complex ERP systems.
Bob Panos – Managing Director Bob has a deep history in systems integration, both as a customer and provider. He began his career as a CAD/CAM systems manager for a large Chicago area manufacturer, where he became familiar with the complex hardware and systems that form the basis of today’s commercial systems. His experience in the IT solutions provider arena spans the past 15 years He started as a technical consultant at Sysix Technologies, a large systems integrator focused on Unix environments in commercial and technical computing markets. He progressed rapidly through a series of sales and product management roles prior to becoming VP of Product Solutions. He later assumed a similar role at Meridian Group International, a large provider of commercial solutions to Fortune 1000 clients.. While there for the past 5 years, he built and managed a Hewlett Packard Unix systems business that became a key driver of Meridian’s growth. Bob is a 1998 graduate of the Illinois Institute of Technology with a B.S in Mechanical Engineering
Wally Bieszczad – Managing Director Wally Bieszczad began his career in IT after a tour of duty in the late 1960's with CDCEC (Combat Development Command Experimentation Command). Beginning with the RCA Computer division and then transferring to Sperry Univac, he worked as a Customer Engineer assisting clients in support roles. Wally expanded his knowledge base in 1981 when he moved to a pioneering start-up named Apollo Computer, building and installing networked engineering workstations, and expanded his responsibilities through his position as Apollo's regional support manager until the company was purchased by HP in 1989. After spending one year on the Hewlett-Packard Unix Escalation team assisting with the acquisition process, Wally moved into a sales position in the Chicago market covering large commercial HP-UX opportunities. Wally eventually moved to the Value-Added commercial solutions channel when he joined Sysix Technologies as their first commercial systems sales representative, and where he worked closely with the two other VComp co-founders as the company rapidly grew its general corporate customer base. In 2002, he assumed a territory sales manager role at Logicalis, a value-added reseller with a large commercial customer base.
